Wind River Country Fly Fishing Dubois Wyoming
Wind River Country Fly Fishing Dubois, Wyoming Fishing Report: The rivers and streams are really starting to shape up nicely. Our guests have been having great luck dry fly fishing. The Wind River is just turning on for fishing and water quality is looking good. The weather has been marvelous, but with the heat it has brought breezy conditions. It is Wyoming so you must always be prepared for some wind.

Wind River Country Fly Fishing Dubois Wyoming
The Bighorn River has also been fishing really well despite moss. Our guests have had some stellar days in the drift boat catching many large rainbows and browns. Dry droppers and streamers are producing! It is getting hot in Thermopolis so we have been getting early starts.
The Green River is fishing very well with dry fly fishing in the morning and then nymphing and streamer fishing later in the day. It is starting to warm up on the Green as well. Early morning starts are a must to avoid heat and afternoon wind.
We are giving Triassic Lake a rest due to water temperatures heating up. In addition to resting trout, we are going to be stocking more trout and want to be sure they have a chance to get acclimated and grow a bit. We will be opening back up on the lake near the end of August.

Bighorn River Flush, Wind River & Green River Fishing Reports
Bighorn River Flush, Wind River, Green River Fishing Reports: The big question is how is Wyoming fishing right now? We are in the height of the spring runoff and things are definitely interesting. The Bighorn River will be going through a flush this Thursday and Friday. Flows will bump from 1400 CFS to 3200 CFS to flush the moss from the river. Fishing has been great, but you have to work hard to make sure your flies are clean. The bump in flows should significantly help with the moss situation. We will keep you posted.

Bighorn River Flush, Wind River & Green River Fishing Reports
We have also been running trips on the Green River near Fontenelle, Wyoming. River flows are up, but fishing is great right now. This is one of our favorite times to be on the Green River. Low crowds, great fishing, and beautiful weather (wind dependent) are the norm on the river.
The Wind River in Dubois, Wyoming is entering the height of spring runoff. It is a tough time to fish the upper Wind River, but there are plenty of still-water opportunities and soon the upper tributaries will start fishing.
For those who are interested in true trophy Rainbow Trout, now is the time to book your Triassic Lake trip! We will be guiding this private lake until the beginning of July. Clients have been catching trout in the 6-10 pound weight class and fishing is on fire!

Bighorn River Flush 3/24/20
Bighorn River Flush is scheduled for Tuesday 24, 2020 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. The river flows will spike up to 5000 cfs before gradually backing off to around 2000 cfs. Rainbow Trout are currently spawning and very active on their redds. It will be interesting to see if this flush will help the redds or hinder them by flushing eggs down river. Food for thought.

Bighorn River Spring Flush
The Wind and Bighorn River have been fishing very well the past few weeks. The river has been clear and the trout have been hungry. Our guides have been seeing nice big and healthy trout coming to the boat.
The river is seeing more visitors. We would like to remind everyone bringing in a boat from out of state to please stop at boat inspection points as soon as you cross state lines and get your AIS sticker. Please check the Wyoming Game and Fish Website for more information.

Bighorn River Fly Fishing 2020

Bighorn River Fly Fishing
Bighorn River Fly Fishing Report, Thermopolis, Wyoming: Fly fishing has been pretty darn great the past couple of weeks. The Bighorn River is in good shape and the trout have wintered well. We are catching a lot of big trout, but there is a healthy class of 12-14 inch trout as well.
The weather has really heated up this past week, and the snow pack is melting quickly. This melt caused the Bighorn River to blow out this weekend. The snow is just about gone in Thermopolis. The weather is supposed to be nice all week. Sunshine and warmth is very much welcome!
Please respect the Rainbow Trout redds (spawning grounds) as they are busy doing their reproducing. Do not wade or fish the large white patches in the river. We need trout to reproduce to have a healthy river.

Wind River Fly Fishing
Wyoming Fly Fishing 2020: Dunoir Fishing Adventures is pleased to be going on our 10th year of guiding fly fishing on the Wind River, Bighorn River and Green River. We are looking forward to another great season with a great crew of guides, and fun times on the water with guests.
Sorry for our lack of reports, but the summer and fall seasons were packed with guests and guide trips leaving little time or energy to type up reports. We also had a big film project with Tom Rosenbauer of Orvis and Mark Melnyk of The New Fly Fisher. Keep posted and we will let you know when the shows will be aired. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to film with the crew, and have Dunoir Fishing Adventures featured.
