Tim on the Bighorn River with a nice brown trout!
Bighorn & Green River Fishing Guide Report: April is off to a great start and so is the fly fishing on the Bighorn and Green Rivers. We have been busy on both rivers and enjoying a wonderful Wyoming spring. Rivers will probably not see major run-off this year, but we should have plenty of water. The rainbows are spawning in shallow rock bottoms in the both rivers, so please avoid fishing on the redds and focus on the deeper water. We have had great luck catching nice brown trout below the redds. Curious about good spring tailwater patterns click this link to Field & Stream featuring guide and owner, Jeramie Prine. Other hot flies also include baetis patterns and the blue wing olives are starting to hatch!
