The fishing reports and days on the Bighorn River in Thermopolis are improving as much as the weather, which has also been fantastic! Wedding of the Waters down has been very productive with sow bugs, bwo nymph and dry, and other baetis patterns. The Blue Wing Olive hatch has been off the chart the past two weeks. The drift boat is usually caked in BWO’s at the end of the day. Flows on the Bighorn have bumped up to around 1300 cfs and the extra water is nice! I would like to thank Chuck and Julia for a great day on the river. This picture pretty much sums up the day we had. Leaves are coming out, summer-like days more abundant, and lights out fishing…what else can you ask for? In addition, the fishing on the Wind River in Dubois, Wyoming should happen much earlier this year. Keep posted for more great photos and reports from Wyoming’s Bighorn and Wind River.
