Tim and I fished one of Dubois, Wyoming’s classic still-waters in the Wind River Mountains two nights ago. We didn’t really know what to expect with 45 mph winds and rainstorms when we left the ranch. When we got to the lake there were white-caps and major storms pushing through. While we were waiting for the storms to subside for the evening, Tim landed a nice Rainbow at the boat ramp. That was enough for me to get into the boat and find some protected water. Within a half an hour the storms passed through and the lake went calm. The fly fishing was outstanding from the beginning. We landed several rainbows, small lake trout, and this nice brown trout all on a streamer. We are preparing for a busy week guiding on the Green River, Hams Fork, Bighorn, and in Dubois, Wyoming. Keep posted for many more photos to come.
