Fellow guide, Ryan Hudson, and I floated the Green River in Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge yesterday. Like the rest of the tail waters across the state, the Green River is fishing very well. We had a phenomenal day landing the “five pack on the trifecta” catching rainbow trout, brown trout, Snake River cutthroats, whitefish, and suckers on nymphs, streamers, and dry flies. It is good to get back on the Green River after a long winter. It usually is a few weeks behind the other tail waters fishing-wise, but with our warm Spring that we have been having, game is on. Book a trip with us on this world class fishery today and avoid the crowds! Spring is nice on the Refuge due to bird and wildlife habitat and limited guides. We saw four blue herons nesting in a cottonwood on the river yesterday. That is what fishing is all about…getting away, having fun on the water, and seeing Wyoming’s wonderful bird and wildlife populations while catching a boatful of fish!
