{youtube}SPNUddsEdeQ|600|450|1{/youtube} Fly fishing on the Bighorn River in Thermopolis, Wyoming is on FIRE right now! We have been catching a lot of large Rainbow and Brown trout on streamers and nymphs. Water levels are low, which makes finding the fish a bit easier. Please watch out for the redds (white looking gravel spots in the river-trout spawning habitat) as the fish are stacked on them right now. The Rainbows are actively spawning and as anglers we need to avoid these areas to let the trout do their business. Thanks to Jeff and Russ for a great day on the Bighorn this last Sunday. It was the first really nice bluebird day with warm temperatures this winter. I was glad to shake some “cabin fever blues”. Keep posted for more fly fishing reports on the Bighorn as we have several upcoming trips going out. Summer is booking up fast, so if you are thinking of taking a trip please be sure to book in advance. We do have a full guide crew this year to meet these demands.
