Doc, Hank, and I had a wonderful rainy day on the Bighorn River this Sunday. The weather and moss didn’t chase us off and we had a wonderful May day on the water. The river remained pretty clear despite the rain. Doc and Hank caught several nice Rainbows in the 19-20 inch range. Sowbugs seemed to be the ticket. Bighorn River water flows are up to 1000-1200 cfs from 500 cfs a month ago. These flows will remain at these levels for the summer to cover irrigation, so we will not see major spring run-off like a few years ago. Fishing will remain “Bighorn good” as usual. Moss is here for the season.
