2022 Wyoming Spring Fly Fishing Report
2022 Wyoming Spring Fly Fishing Report
Dunoir Fishing Adventures is looking forward to another wonderful fly fishing season on the water. Our guides have been busy guiding and fishing the Bighorn River in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Spring is one of the best times to fish the Bighorn River. The trout have wintered well and are hungry! Our guides have been having success on mostly nymphs and streamers, but on the right day, fish are sipping blue winged olives (baetis). What makes March through June great on the Bighorn is that there is virtually no moss, temperatures are not so hot, and the fish are busy packing on calories!
For anglers wishing to head up into the high mountain streams outside of Dubois, Wyoming our guide season kicks off at the end of June and runs until about mid-September depending on conditions. Dunoir Fishing Adventures continues guiding the Bighorn and Green River tailwaters throughout the summer and fall seasons. Conditions can be a bit challenging in the middle of the summer due to heat and moss, but fishing remains really good due to all of the bug life found in these conditions.
