Bighorn River Spring Brown Trout
Bighorn River Spring Flush: March 24th, 2015. Here at Dunoir Fishing Adventures we have been receiving calls inquiring about if/when there will be a spring flush on the Bighorn River. We talked to the Bureau of Reclamation Office today, and they are tentatively planning on flushing the Bighorn River in Thermopolis starting on March 24th. Fishing can be great following the flush, but can be a challenge during the actual flush. Fish do get scattered, but if you know where to look for them your odds of catching a few big fish are good. Should this date change on the flush we will let you know immediately, so keep posted.

The Dunoir Fishing Adventures crew has had a very busy week fly fishing on the Bighorn River. The fishing has been good to down right outstanding! Hats off to Tim (see photo) and his mother Pat for a fantastic couple of days. Nick, Spike, and I were guiding yesterday and we did not experience the streamer bite that Jeff put his guests on. Fish were keyed in on baetis, annelids, and sow bugs. River flows are still up, but it looks like the Bighorn River will not see the 4000-5000 cfs that they were predicting. Personally, we like big water! The Wind River in Dubois is still blown out, but the lakes are fishing great. Nothing beats a day or two of still-water fly fishing! To see more photos, visit us at our
