Triassic Lake Wyoming Fishing Report 2019 We are pleased to announce another amazing season on Triassic Lake. The true trophy Rainbows (24 plus inches, 8 pounds and better) survived another winter and are doing very well. The fish stocked in the lake last season, the freshman class, are now 18-20 inches and already fat. They are both going to grow a lot this summer. Triassic Lake is a true Wyoming fly fishing gem that contains the fattest, largest Rainbows!

Harry, Rusty and I scouted the lake yesterday and could not have asked for a better day. The fishing was steady and we were pleased to find it is going to be another exceptional season.
The Rainbows were keying in on EDC flies and small minnow patterns. The water temperature is perfect right now at 50-55 degrees. Our spring is bringing enough run-off and precipitation to keep the lake full and cool.
If you are looking for a pristine and private fly fishing experience from drift boat, then Triassic Lake is for you. Most people dream of catching a true trophy trout in a lifetime. Join us today and catch several trout of a lifetime on a 6 to 7 weight fly rode and 0-2x tippet.

The Rainbow trout on the left was as long as our Yeti 45 cooler and two-thirds the width of it. The amazing fishing was only part of the joy. We saw a bald eagle, mule deer, a muskrat, and several pronghorn antelope while fishing. This trip captures the wild and scenic experience that is hard to find these days.
