Dubois, Wyoming Fishing Report & Bighorn and Green River Conditions

Dubois, Wyoming Yellowstone Cutthroat Fishing

DUBOIS, WYOMING FISHING REPORT: The fly fishing and the river conditions are slowly starting to improve in the Dubois area. The Wind River is still blown out and a lot of that is due to our afternoon storms that have been rolling in. The high mountain tributaries to the Wind River are slowly starting to shape up, but are still running big. We advise anglers to use caution wade fishing and not try to cross too swift of currents. That being said, there are a lot of productive channels to fish. We have been doing well catching some beautiful Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout, and been busy scouting all water in the area. We are honored to be able to fish with a group of excited anglers from Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing for the next three days.

BIGHORN & GREEN RIVER CONDITIONS: The Bighorn River is slowly starting to drop. The current river flows out of Boysen Dam are still at 8432 cfs and water is still off color. We are hoping to see some improvement this week as inflows have dropped significantly.

Green River fishing conditions are remaining good and we have had several trips go out the past few weeks below Fontenelle Dam. A lot of big fish are eating and our clients have been enjoying the great weather and solid fishing. The Green River is currently dropping river flows to 4000 cfs. Fishing has remained good through the drop. We have more trips going out in the next few days, so keep posted.

Fishing has been very, very good! Our friends and clients have been catching some amazing brown and rainbow trout! The Green River is dropping down to 6000 cfs starting tomorrow. Keep posted as we have more trips going out this next week.

Dubois, Wyoming Fishing conditions are starting to improve and the Wind River has dropped significantly. We have been guiding on the mountain lakes and fishing has been good. This week, we will be guiding on the upper creeks and streams in the Dubois area. Water is dropping and conditions are slowly starting to improve on the Wind River and its tributaries. We want to thank our guests Andrew and Kay who joined us all the way from Scotland! We had a wonderful day on the water!

Bighorn River Thermopolis, Wyoming Fishing conditions are scheduled to start dropping as soon as Boysen Reservoir is out of flood stage. The Bighorn River is still off color and running at 9000 cfs. We will keep you posted on conditions as they improve. It will not be long. For current river conditions and outflow of Boysen Dam click HERE.

Bighorn River, Wyoming Fishing Report: Water flows on the Bighorn River are starting to drop. Current flows are at 4590 cfs and the Boysen Dam Water Operations is reporting that flows will drop to 4000 cfs. Fishing will be a bit challenging until water flows stabilize out again, which will not be long. Fishing will be great and we are looking forward to dry/dropper fishing again. We had some fun trips go out last week.

Green River, Wyoming Fishing Report: Water flows on the Green River will be dropping from 6200 cfs on June 22 to 1500 cfs by June 30th, 2016. That is a big drop and fishing will be interesting. We have boats going out during this time and will keep you posted on how the fishing is. We are looking forward to it!

The Wind River is starting to shape up nicely. We have trips going out in Dubois this week, so more reports to come.
